I can't say that I have any favourite halloweens. Mother used to take us into town to gather our treats, but it was never exciting. We didn't have any costumes as such, we dressed with whatever we could find. I usually went into the ragbag as Mother called it and found something to wear. We were never allowed to go with anyone else while growing up, so I found myself not wanting to go with friends as I got older. It seemed like to much energy to move things around from where they were.  I always thought to myself, " Can the person we are doing this to able to put things back to the way they were?". In most cases the answer was "no". It became less and less "fun" as the years went past.
